Well, this is a site that primarily organizes the photographs I’m taking.

Hopefully it will help me dialog (monologue?) through what a digital photographer and a family photographer looks like in the 21st century. At least the first part of the century, ’cause I don’t plan on sticking around much into the second part of the 21st century . . .

It’s a mix of “professional” and “candid” images, which is an interesting conversation in itself about what makes them differ, if anything.

So, goals: organize, publicize and criticize.

• {organize} I have many external hard drives and this site is not one of them! I mean the other kind of organize, it’s a place of reference for folks not at my house or in my head (whoa – that would be much more freaky than blogging anyway)
• {publicize} I am a really bad self promoter. I hope folks find this blog and think it’s interesting that I’m sharing tidbits of my life events and thoughts on my work. I also hope people love my style and commission more of my work.
• {criticize} In the nice way – the thinking out loud kind of way. And it matches the other two goals. In school, we defended our work during a “critique” or a “crit”. This is similar but different, maybe I’ll have more sleep this time …
